Need (simple) help with boilermate boiler and radiators

Hi we moved into our house last summer and it wasn’t until winter we started having problems. We couldn’t get the radiators to work until my dad came around and fiddled with loads of stuff on the boiler and the radiators. To his credit it worked but now we can’t get the radiators to go off and...

Very simple scenario for those in the know :)

I have a Nest thermostat in my hallway. Our lounge radiators have no TRVs and I cannot get them to come on with any decent amount of heat. Should I be leaving the door open to the lounge so that that room calls for heat or do I need to get TRVs. Or does a TRV not help this problem anyway! Same...

Not So Simple job for a body jet rail

Hello All, I’m trying to build a simple 1/2” chrome rail with a 1/4 turn valve and two body jets for a fairly nice shower over my Xmas holidays. Vaillant vsmart simple question

Can vsmart be overrided by simply pressing the plus sign on thermostat...reason I ask is customers + button doesn't increase temperature, never has and she's only ever been able to turn it on/off via app. Never fitted one clearly but would have thought her thermostat is faulty??

    Simple question? Maybe

Hope is a simple question. The merits, or not, of deciding which is best as isolation valves for a pair of taps, gate valves , stopcocks or 90degree ballvalves, if any?

Hi guys, I'm just in the middle of a DIY refurb and wanted somebody to sense check my choice of equipment. In the bathroom, I have a loo and a sink. I have an old Bosch dishwasher that I want to get rid of. It is connected to the mains via an Aquastop pipe and solenoid. My temptation is just to unscrew it, but there does not seem to be a tap to turn off the water first. There is screw in the fitting under the solenoid that I can turn...

    Boiler, radiators or thermostat?

So I posted before Christmas about my boiler issues, It was serviced and no big improvements in heat and if anything its worse now.
