reading

Reading is the process of taking in the sense or meaning of letters, symbols, etc., especially by sight or touch. For educators and researchers, reading is a multifaceted process involving such areas as word recognition, orthography (spelling), alphabetics, phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and motivation.Other types of reading and writing, such as pictograms (e.g., a hazard symbol and an emoji), are not based on speech-based writing systems. The common link is the interpretation of symbols to extract the meaning from the visual notations or tactile signals (as in the case of Braille).

Water meter readings 22mm vs 15mm?

Good day My question is concenrning a system where the main water meter is on a 22mm water line, this line is then split to 15mm lines. Will the 22mm line water meter have a larger reading over the 15mm line water meter?

    Incorrect flow temp reading

When there is no demand for heat and the system is "cold", the flow temperature displayed on the front of my WB boiler is still reading 41. The flow pipe feels cold to the touch, definitely not 41deg... Have I misinterpreted what this display is actually telling me?

    Vaillant F23 fault, Reading

I have a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 424 boiler in a closed heating system with 13 rads and 4 towel rails. Rads are steel, pipes are plastic kind of "modern microbore". System water pressure is 1.1 bar. It's a fairly new house, built in 2016. The boiler was last serviced in January 2019. For the last...

    21.3% O2 reading not changing

My testo 300 today when commissioning a new install would only give a reading of 21.3% o2 for flue integrity, tried zeroing outside but stayed at 21.3 tried turning on and off still the same. When in the flue gas test port it would go down to what you would expect and 5.3. Anyone have any ideas...

Boiler I. D. For high reading on analysers

I have to go to a boiler tomorrow that has been classed as I. D dangerous by another engineer. I haven't fully read the Cp12 they have been issued. Surely this means a C0/C02 ratio greater than 0.008. If it was between 0.004 and 0.007 the appliance would be at risk. Thanks for any input...

CO2 is the most important reading not the ratio?

CO2 is the most important reading not the ratio? Statement from Valiant literature. If this is correct then why is this not on the landlords safety certificate for example? A landlords certificate requires gas rate and gas ratio co/co2 reading. If these are both correct the boiler is deemed...

Hi Just come away from a 22 year old Boulter oil boiler. Carried out a service, the exchange and baffles were in quite a state. Cleaned it all up, then the burner, changed the burner nossel ect. Circulating chemical flush additive without heating on

My Potterton Profile boiler will soon be 20 years old and for some years British Gas has been shaking its head about spare parts being available, though at the last service the engineer did admit to carrying the most needed on his van. (I've just Googled "Potterton Profile spares" and it would...

    Oil Tank Gauge Level

I've just bought a house with an old oil central heating system. The level gauge was hovering over 20 and it goes from 0-200. The tank it a lot bigger than 200 litres so I presumed it held 2000 and the gauge was showing it in 10ths. Within a day of running the central heating. The level went...

Buying a new property which has recently had a gas safety certificate issued. The boiler that is fitted is a Halstead Quattro Gold and is over 15 years old.
