multifit
The multifit algorithm is an algorithm for multiway number partitioning, originally developed for the problem of identical-machines scheduling. It was developed by Coffman, Garey and Johnson. Its novelty comes from the fact that it uses an algorithm for another famous problem - the bin packing problem - as a subroutine.
Hi
I have just fitted a new 1.5 inch waste to my bath & fitted a 40mm p trap to it. The prob I have is the exstg waste pipe is 32mm and cannot be moved. Is there a coupling that is 40mm pipe (to slot into the trap compression) one side with a 32mm compression fitting on the other (to connect to...
I recently needed a flue terminal deflector for a Baxi Duotec GA, I asked Plumbcenter for a trade price and was quoted £32 +vat. I told them where to poke it. 2 minutes of googling and I foud and purchased one on Amazon for £9.44 including vat and delivery. It arrived within 3 days and was in a...
I am in Thailand.
Plumbing standards are poor.
i had a WC installed by a "professional" actually installed 2x.
The rough in was 220mm and the toilet drop was 305mm.
So the problem is obvious.
1) They dont sell offsets here
2) they "engineered their own offset.
3) It obviously wasnt air...

Hi all
Is say Wickes 32mm & 40mm solvent waste compatable with Screwfix solvent waste. I know the sizes are stated the same but I'm sure I have heard of variations across makes........?
Cheers...................:)
I have a query regarding a Multifit toilet waste connector. I have conflicting advice, one that it is a 360 deg use item and can be used to align any height difference no matter the angle between the back of the pan and the waste outlet. The other advice is that it can only be used 90 deg or so...
I need to replace the shower waste unit in my ensuite but the pipe is 43mm. I have tried everywhere locally (local plumbing supplies, Travis Perkins, ScrewFix, B&Q, etc) but cannot find this size. I did buy a 40mm unit hoping that there might be enough play in it but there wasn't. Any suggestions?

First off, do push-fit and compression waste fittings both fit on the same pipe? (just not solvent pipe..?)
Secondly, if you want to join a piece of push-fit/compression waste-pipe to a piece of solvent pipe...how would you do it?
Can you, as I'm guessing you can, connect both pipes using...
