monoblock
A monoblock (or monobloc) LNB is a type of low-noise block downconverter used in communications satellite reception, this multiple combined LNBs is the simplest solution to achieve multifeed reception for two, three or four satellites.
This design consists of two, three or four independent LNBs in a single case. The two, three or four LNBs can be automatically addressed with any DiSEqC 1.0 or higher receiver. In some cases, they can also be addressed with ToneBurst/MiniDiSEqC. However, they are only available for satellites with a fixed 3 degree, 4°, 4.3° or 6° other spacing.
Most receivers which are sold nowadays are compatible with at least DiSeqC 1.0 which allows to switch automatically between 4 satellites (all of contemporary Monoblock LNBs), as user changes channel on remote control.
Hi, My kitchen mixer tap has been leaking, and one of the faucet levers is wobbly. So I tried the replace the grub screw and 'clean the ceramic cartridge' thing in the hope that would sort it out, because I can't get to a hardware store to compare and buy a replacement cartridge/tap in person...

Hello,
Hopefully this will be an easy one, my kitchen tap's cold lever handle is coming loose / moving along.
I can't figure out how to tighten it back to where it was, or how to "open / remove" it to see what needs tightening. I can't feel any sort of screw on the outside casing (unless I'm...
Hi Everyone, good to be here. I wonder if someone could advise me with a little issue I have. I bought a "cheap" Monobloc mixer tap and its not bad for the money......only problem is I cant get it to tighten to the sink. The nut to tighten it is 34mm and I cant get good purchase on it to tighten...
I'n trying to free-up the swiveling spout on monobloc kitchen tap.
I've tried soaking it in PlusGas hoping it'd seep down & give me a shot moving it - but no luck. The only heat I've tried is boiling water - didn't want to spoil the brushed finish.
Any suggestions to get it freed-up?
What is the ACTUAL physical difference between a 0.5 bar monoblock mixer tap, and a 0.1 bar monoblock mixer tap?
What would make a 0.1 bar mixer tap perform better than the current 0.5 bar we have installed? (hot water is merely a trickle, there is almost no mix - it's either powerful and cold...
Hey if a monoblock kitchen lever tap is dripping. Is it hard to get a new cartridge for this? As it isn't just a case of changing a washer because there ceramic discs.?
Current set up:
One hole monoblock mixer kitchen tap is old and broken, leaking from the base, needs to be replaced.
Connected to the hot and cold pipes by straight copper 15mm to 10mm pipes, soldered at both ends.
What I am proposing and would appreciate it if anyone could identify any...

hi guys,
I have a customer with a incredibly difficult tap to get at in terms of pipework and I remember seeing a new design in the PHAM news depicting a monoblock captive tap connector plate. I have done a rather crude drawing of it
I was wondering would anyone know who manufactures it so...
I have a customer who would like a single tap on their 2 tap basin, like the bath filer taps. However he centers are 200mm and I cannot find any single taps with 200mm centers. Anybody know of any? Another option is to blank off one hole and put a monoblock on the other, would a monoblock fit in...
I have a leaky valve on a Bristan Monoblock Mixer Tap. Have removed and cleaned both valves but the problem still persists. Is it possible to dismantle and repair a valve, as the cost of two new valves is about £60 (only supplied as a pair from Bristan). I'm assuming the problem may only be a...
Our monoblock pop up on the bathroom basin has been broken for ages and we've been using a standard plug with one of those plastic/metal kitchen sink inserts for when the plug isn't in. But it is only a matter of time before one of the kids drops something down it and the waste is so hidden...
Anyone know if there is a special tool or spanner for undoing monoblock tap flexi connectors. These taps have a hollow body where the flexis screw in. Cannot undo by hand as the flexis just twist.
I think I need something like a mini 'L' shaped tap wrench!
Anyone else come across this problem?
Being the tool queen that I am I was looking for a better way of dealing with monoblock taps. I've got a couple of sets of monoblock box spanners but I always struggle when one's been fitted for a while and seized.
I'd eyed this system up a while ago and took the plunge about a month ago. It's...
