Hi All
I'm planning on replacing a couple of rads soon as they are far too small for the size of the room causing the room to take an age to heat up but they are all connected via what I assume is Hep2O nothing is labled on the pipes that route behind the rad just on the flap behind the rad...
Hi there,
I am hoping someone can give me some advice. We have had two leaks at home in the last 2 weeks; luckily we were in for both events and managed to get the water turned off pretty quickly so it is not a massive catastrophe. Both times, a fitting popped off a pipe about 15 minutes after...
After balancing the flows, one of these blighters has started to drip very slowly from under the red cap. It feels loose to turn, so I suspect the seal around the spindle is to blame. It won't be 'worn' as such, as they don't get fiddled with for years, but this tiny adjustment was seemingly...
I've searched this forum but cannot see anyone else reporting a similar problem with the last generation grey Hep2O fittings: they unscrew!
Our whole house was re-plumbed in 1999/2000 and Hep2O fittings were used throughout for all out-of-sight fittings - just over 200 of them. One evening...
Hello All
Its my first jobbie using Hep2O. Im installing a vertical mounted radiator manifold, and the feeds to wall mounter radiators.
Im using Hep2O barrier pipe the HXX100/15W.
Q1 Is there an issue using elbows in a plastic 15mm barrier radiator feeds - i.e some bore constriction issue Im...
Hi there, I’m in a new build property, approx 6 years old and our underfloor heating system has been running fine up until now.
We have underfloor heating both upstairs and down stairs, upstairs is fine, but since last week the downstairs has been a lot cooler and is not getting up to...
I see there are various previous threads on this and other sites which discuss Hep2o fittings, I use these fittings and have not had any issues with any that I have fitted, however I have become aware of a few recently which have failed, I know of a block of 45 flats ( 7 years old) where each...
Plastic Polybutylene Pipes - Polypipe, Flofit, Hep2O, JG Speedfit, Pipelife?
Pipes not fittings, are they all much the same, does it just come down to price, do people have preferences and why?
Installing HansGrohe I-Box shower valve. Using brass 3/4 elbow with a bullet reducer into Hep2o
15mm pipe for the hot and cold feeds. Not done much plastic and would like confirmation that this is a tried and true method.
Thanks
Paul
I had a leak coming out from this reducing tee just after a month after installation.
I think it’s an old Hep2O tee.
I took it apart and found that the grab ring had scratch the PEX pipe.
Making me think the pipe had move out of its place.
Has anyone else have the same problem and any idea...
Job lot of hep2o coils for sale as title. All brand new. Open to sensible offers as need them cleared from site asap. We also have various 28mm fittings. Located in rochester Kent
Are the 3m straight lengths of 22mm pipe as flexible as the coiled pipe e.g. can I take it around corners without adding 90 degree elbows?
The shortest coil of 22mm Hep2o barrier pipe is 25m long which is much more than I need.
I hope I’m posting this in the correct forum, so here goes:
The attached photo speaks for itself: ‘exploded’ 17-year old 22mm Hep2O barrier! My question is how/ why?
Let me be the first to recognise this may well be a naïve self-inflicted wound but here is the full story in the hopes I can...
I want to bury some 25mm plastic conduit in the wall to allow me to run the flow and return between the downstairs and upstairs, obviously it would mean the pipe is unsupported through the length about 2m. It will be supported top and bottom. Would this be okay.
I have a HEP2O system installed 8 years ago and has worked fine. 6 months ago I installed a new boiler, but in a different location - in the bathroom directly above, and now my HEP2O system hardly works. It seems to warm about one tenth (maybe less) of the floor but the rest remains cold. I...

Worcester say a minimum of 600mm before joining into plastic, Baxi say 300mm, other mis have no requirement.
Why exactly is it that some manufacturers have specific lengths before joining into plastic?
I've just read the data sheet for hep pipe and although it may shorten the 50 year life...
A quick question on secondary returns for HW. I remember reading somewhere that you cannot use Hep2o for a secondary return. Could someone explain why?
I was thinking about this the other day, and central heating circuits are fine with Hep2o, so why not HW circuits? Surely both pump hot water...
Hi All,
I am in the process of fitting a new central heating system to our house.
I intend to run the flow and return pipes in Hep2o but wanted some advice on connecting to the radiators.
Would you always connect to the rads in copper? I have read you can take 15mm Hep2o branches off the flow...
