boiling
Boiling is the rapid vaporization of a liquid, which occurs when a liquid is heated to its boiling point, the temperature at which the vapour pressure of the liquid is equal to the pressure exerted on the liquid by the surrounding atmosphere. There are two main types of boiling: nucleate boiling where small bubbles of vapour form at discrete points, and critical heat flux boiling where the boiling surface is heated above a certain critical temperature and a film of vapor forms on the surface. Transition boiling is an intermediate, unstable form of boiling with elements of both types. The boiling point of water is 100 °C or 212 °F but is lower with the decreased atmospheric pressure found at higher altitudes.
Boiling water is used as a method of making it potable by killing microbes and viruses that may be present. The sensitivity of different micro-organisms to heat varies, but if water is held at 100 °C (212 °F) for one minute, most micro-organisms and viruses are inactivated. Ten minutes at a temperature of 70 °C (158 °F) is also sufficient for most bacteria.
Boiling water is also used in several cooking methods including boiling, steaming, and poaching.
The problem is, my ideal boiler logic heat h15 keeps on burning (igniting flame icon on) all the time, all day long, regardless of the programmed on off schedule for both heating and hot water.
when we have the heating turned off from the thermostat programmer (danfoss tp9000ma-si), i.e frosted...
There was an AEG Prosource Hot Water tap (model GYB00418DT) in the kitchen when we bought our house.
The 'standard' mixer handle (i.e. not the boiling water handle) has started to leak intermittently - it doesn't switch off and the tap leaks as a result.
I can't find a spare tap online...
Hi looking for some advice. My inlaws have an insinkerator boiling and cold tap (model number HC3300 c). It was leaking from the handle so naturally I didn’t think it would take much to change a washer or cartridge. I should also explain that I have been a pipefitter for last 5 years but I admit...

Hi
I've been given a 3in1 boiling mixer tap without the filter and filter fittings. Do I need to buy the filter and fittings for the same brand, or are different brand filters interchangeable?
It's a caple VAP3IN1 if that's helpful.
Cheers
Jon
Can I have advice if possible to do with the hot water getting to high and locking out. I've checked the plate heat exchanger and replaced the thermostat to now

Hi all, I am on the last stage of my kitchen renovation project after 2 years of evenings and weekends! and need to plumb my new tap.
It is a InsinkErator 3 in 1 tap that is meant to work with a tank to supply boiling water. Can this tap be used to supply filter water instead?
Thanks your help
We have a coal fired Parkray room heater, running 6 radiators. They are all red hot but there's no hot water from the tap. What should I do? I'm quite nervous about the back boiler blowing up.

The tap works great, but when I change it to come out of the shower it just comes out boiling hot, regardless of how much I fiddle about with the hot/cold water taps.

For the past couple of months the water coming out of our hot taps has been boiling. At first we thought nothing of it. However we've now been hit with a £1600 gas bill. Just before it started I think I fiddled with a switch on the mid-position actuator (we had no hot water at all. Turned out...
