Hi, I have a 150mm PVC stormwater pipe that has been broken and intruded by a tree root 0.5m from the manhole. The pipe is 4m below ground level, so I don't really want to dig it up. Is there a way to clear the broken intruding pieces of PVC and the tree root and reline? Thanks.
Hi, I'm looking for a concealed thermostatic valve with 22mm inlets and 150mm centres. Something with a brass construction but not £300 or over. I'd be very grateful for any help!
thanks,

I know some boiler manufactors allow the flues air in-take to exit as close as 150mm to an opening in a building. As long as you put a plume kit to get the products of combustion at lest 300mm away from the opening. Does anyone know which manufacturers allow this? I usually fit Ideals but as far...

Hi There,
I may be installing a CWSC in a loft space soon. There is already a good support base in place but when the new rectangular tank goes on, the gap between the tank and the edge of the support will only be about 20mm on each of the two long ends. Plenty of space around the short ends...

OK I give up, I've spent ages looking for this but can't find one. A chrome shower head with a nozzle or head that can be angled in different directions but which also has a bottom inlet for surface mounted pipework. Any suggestions please post details.
Thanks

Hello all, I am looking for some advice please.
We are having a new boiler fitted next month, a Potterton Promax SL15. We wanted it fitting in the same place as the current boiler, i.e., next to the freestanding gas cooker. The advisor from British Gas says it cannot go there as there has to be...
Hey fellers good morning to you. I have just awakened and am having tea in bed while reading installer magazine and I have come to page 50 which is all about positions. I don't know if any of you get the magazine or not but I am a bit confused as to what it is saying about flue terminals for fan...
I have a Mira mixer unit. The flow cartridge is faulty making the tap difficult to turn on. I sent for a replacement cartridge but was unable to remove the exisiting one as it was seized up and the depth of the part where the spanner fits is very narrow causing the spanner to slip off. Even...

Hi guys, just a quicky. I've not been gas safe for very long and I went to price up a boiler swap today. The new boiler is going in a different position. On the exterior wall there is an openable window and door on either side of the proposed flue position. I know there must be a minimum of...
Hi Guys, I'm no plumber - just after a bit of advice.
I've got a Heritage shower and its dripping from the head of the shower. My plumber has looked at it and said it needs a new valve but Heritage said it may be the cartridge. It's quite an old model and Heritage say its discontinued. The...
