Hi Paul,

I had a similar problems a few weeks ago. You say the leak doesn't appear untill the shower has been running for 10 mins. To help you it is important to know where you first discover the water as you may be able to trace it back to the source of the leak.

If i were you i would go through a systematic process of where the water makes contact. e.g

1. Turn the shower on and only let it make contact with the tray.
2. Turn the shower on and let it make contact with tiled wall #1
3. Turn the shower on and let it make contact with tiled wall #2
etc etc.

Remember that each step has to allow time for the leak to become apparent.

By process of elimination you should narrow down where the problem is arising and which areas are ok.

hope this helps

Hi Paul,

Since posting the above thread i have just had another shower problem which may help. On some showers you can draw water from either the top or bottom of the valve. In this case it was the bottom valve plug had somehow deteriorated and was leaking from inside the fabricated wall at the bottom of the mixer valve. The make of the shower was an old Aqualisa and about due for a change. I have installed a Deva Revelle/Excel mixer shower which works great and looks good.

Hope this helps,
