8.5 kw on a 5 meter run with 6mm cable should be ok as not to much amp per meter heat. was the limit.
as with mine , fitted 15 years ago, no earthing and straight to a 30amp hard wired fuse. backed up opinion of 2 sparkie mates at the time.
i had forgotten all about that, time to upgrade perhaps. nice iron bath too?.
