Default Aquadec wetroom products

Has anyone fitted the aquadec wetroom system products? Are they the preferred choice when fitting a wetroom to ensure complete sealing?

Advice would be greatly received

I have fitted 8 aquadec this year and 1 wedi deck. the 800 aquadec is the best one to install the fall is good. there is a video for aquadec installation but its crap it shows you the instalation on a new floor and the deck ends up flush with the floor but as most people want them tiled they need to be higher than the floor boards so the best way is to go by the video and then put 12mm ply under the aquadec so you can put 12mm ply on the floor boards ready for tiling

Uug,

Thanks for this info, is useful....I have a customer that wants a bath ripped out and a walk in Shower/Wetroom installed, along with ripping out the toilet and basin etc....how much would you say it all costs?

it all depends on what the customer wants
basic's
remove bathroom suite
install
aquadec/waste
plywood floor
membrane
toilet
basin
shower

around £750 including pipe, fixings, plywood, service valves where fitted, water traps ect
customer supplys every thing else
tiling is extra

Or Kaskade tray with shallow Dallmer trap / Nomoreply instead of plywood only 6mm / Joints taped with tanking kit - about £500 - £600 and quicker installation. We do 10 - 15 a week. Three years no failures! Usual installation 4 - 5 hours

Most companies are moving away from plywood in favour of Tilebacker/Wedi/Marmox/Nomoreply - all are easier to handle, to cut, to fit etc.

Use an engineered board containing no wood!

Also if you are looking to beat your competition look out for Showerstone wet room trays - flush fitting trays made of resin - Dallmer trap like Wedi / Kaskade / Impey. But it will be a good third cheaper. Due into this country - end of April.
