Cast iron soil stack help!!!
Hi guys got problem, original cast iron soil stack collar joint is split.
pipe appears not to be 4inches round but smaller 3 1/2 inch maybe??
When grinding the cast iron would the weight of the rest of the pipe come down??
and what fittings would best to use?? Thanks

Re: Cast iron soil stack help!!!
if it is 3 1/2" L.C.C you can get a 3 1/2 x 4" stepped Timesaver coupling then use 100mm (4") pipe.
As far as the rest of the pipe coming down, well I normally use 2 or 3 "sky hooks" to secure the top half then cut. LOL Can't tell with out a look-see how much above & how well is it fixed????
