I found £1,000 cash behind a wardrobe a while back. Unfortunately it's all spent now ... (not by me I hasten to add).

Amazon website for tools (and goodness knows what else) instead of eBay. Good prices and much more trustworthy sellers! Travis Perkins often has good prices. I picked up an angle grinder recently which was cheaper than internet prices I saw at the time. (Knipex grips £15 I think).

Benditnow for hand benders.(they made Hilmor machines before they shipped the work out to china and started dropping the quality)
Don't pay attention to the refurb bit. They are brand new and better than a hilmor.

As Tam says, Bend it Now. I bought a tripod bender that takes up to 1 1/4 copper for under £300 brand new and every bit as good as a Hilmor.
