was it the ones with the wires on the trap?

Is that the one where the user display plugs straight into the pcb or is it on a lead?

Could be expensive as manufacturer advise to change both pub and user interface.

Yep it's one boiler I won't repair parts are hella expensive ideal fixed price or new boiler

Went to one and phoned ideal up they fixed it ended up with nearly a new boiler new heat ex and fan and pcb (fan took the pcb out)

All for under 300 :)

Changed the main pcb and all is ok now the boilers in good condition so a few years left in it cheers for the info. Kop

Have a lot of these on my patch. Board and interface change atleast 1 a week.
Boards are tempremental, usually took out by an underlying problem.
Hopefully you've cured it tho in sorting the condensate

You home town? they are all good till they go wrong ha ha bit over the top on price for parts as shaun said the fan can take the board out but fingers crossed i wont see it for another year . kop

Nearly pal , about half way down France , tunnel booked for teatime , so hopefully back late tonight , I havnt been on this week because we have been in the middle of nowhere in Italy. Seriously those icos' s are ok , theres not a lot goes wrong with them compared to other boilers . You can pick up boards for £90 ish.

I look after a few and not as bad as people say but when the board fails and theres no indication of the fault ie some sort of fault code then can get expensive if you miss diagnose the problem hey ho its all work. Have a safe journey home mate regards kop
