I have employed a plumber to put a bathroom suite,shower cubicle and a new water tank in my house,it has now been two weeks and all I have in is the bath,which is working fine and is quite a good job but my sink is on the wall but not plumbed in,there is also a hole in my wall where the shower is to go plus a hole in the floor where the shower tray is sitting,so can I,if this goes on much longer, sue him for compensation because of the length of time he is taking and stress he is causing.

Hi,

I would suggest looking over the contract which you have drawn up together and then take this to your local citizens advice bureau,

Citizens Advice corporate website - Home

They will try and gather all the facts and hopefully give you some advice on how to proceed.

This sort of problem really annoys me as companies/people that you have described give the trades industry such a bad name making it very difficult for soletraders to be taken seriously.
