Default water heater

I am thinking of getting a water heater fitted in an anex. i have bought an ariston one and am curious as to what sequence it all works in the expansion vessel takes up the expansion from the water being heated if the pressure was to go on this when does the pressure releif come in to effect? can anyone tell me the sequence of fitting one and the reasons why its fitted that way thanks

Unvented water heaters must only be fitted by qualified people! The various safety devices all work together to prevent a nasty and possibly lethal explosion if things go wrong. The units must also be maintained annually for the same reason.

By all means read up on how they work, but please don't fit one yourself -- if that's what you had in mind!

pressure relief is normally combined with temp relief, 90degrees C and 7bar, or around that.

saying all that, alanka is right, these are v dangerous if fitted incorrectly
