Default 6Kw Immersian Heater Timer ?

I have a Heatrae Sadia Indirect Megaflo CL 125 L HE which has 2 3kw immersion heaters installed. I'd like to put the heater on a timer but most timers are only rated for a 3kw load. Does anyone know where I can find a timer that can handle a 6kw load?

Rgds

if you knew anything about electrics you would know why.
so speak to an electrician before you end up overloading the whole circuilt.

but the immersions are already connected? yes? this a un vented system? if it has 2 immersions it is usually to improve efficiency, one is neaer the top and one near the bottom. if you put on 2 seperaate timers you could have the top one only on timer for the morn and both in the eve. the top one will only heat above itself and when both are on it will heat all the waTER.

this help?

Dear ajs heating

Sounds like you don't know either!

Dear fuzzy

Nice idea but the system comes pre-plumbed and pre-wired and I'm not sure the heaters are designed to come on separately. The guy that installed it for me installed a 3kW timer but these keep going faulty. I'm on my third timer now in 12 months so I'm guessing that the load is burning them out.
