    Default Flue clearances- gas fire

    Hi,

I have a room sealed natural draught flue that needs to be installed vertically from the fire, terminating on a new flat roof extension, does anyone know what the clearance should be from the flue to an openable window, also does the flue need to rise above pitched roof line? The fire is from the netherlands but is CE marked, mi's dont give any info on clearances, have scoured BS 5440 part 1 but cant find the clearances for a flat roof. Corgi book says 400mm horizontally but surely this only applies when on the same wall as the opening??

Do you have a link to the fire. I don't think I've come across a vertical natural draught balanced flue.

Hi, part j states that it should be 2 metres away from an opening on a flat or pitched roof if below, the flue terminal will pretty much be in line with the middle of the sash window on the original part of the house, the terminal is 1.1 metres away from the sash window, should I treat this as a horizontal distance?? wwhich would be a minimum of 400mm for this fire
