I have never seen any 20mm plastic that is new.
it will leak with those seep fit fittings.

Copper with soldered joints for me, anything less is a diy bodge IMHO.

I would suggest that you get a local engineer in to aid you in your new build

You can put all the plumbing in but get a gas safe to do the boiler

I would suggest putting as much 28mm pipe in as you can and then go to 10 for the rads

Also it may work out cost effective to have the plumber do the heating for you as the discount they will get will be far greater than you could get and they will get it right first time. Also your home insurance may need to be consulted if your going to DIY the heating pipes

GSR? Want gas safety or boiler repair advice? We will check out that you're genuine via the gas safe website, so please dont be offended when we ask for your details. DIYers, odd job people and have a go heroes need not apply.

    as a general rule:
22mm speedfit will do around 13kw (11 degree difference)of rads unless its really long runs.
    10mm will do about 1.8kw with a max run of 10m (5m flow,5m return)

plastic is fine to use, not a diy bodge if its installed correctly. Follow the manufactures instructions and you will be fine.

you will need to trace tape behind the 10mm drops also, and pressure test as speedfit requirements.

also clipping is very important, every 300mm is recommended every 500mm is pushing it.

Ammonia is found on Pluto, Jupiter and, in small amounts, on Uranus.
