Re: why bother
I used to hate this when I did price work for builders or customers who are running their own job, first fit usually Ok ,then you arrange to go back for second fix and tiler, joiner or who ever has not finished there bit,not necessarily their fault, but builder or customer expect you to sit about for 3 or 4 hours if you are lucky, while others are ready
In the end they would ring me and say ..Am ready for you on Wed and I would say, booked up till Thurs,a day later, still sometime they were not ready, never ring, trouble is ,they want the job done asap and expect us to que up till we can get in
Also used to hate it when they would book everyone at the same time to work in the same area, expecting 5 blokes ,with all there stuff to work in a small bathroom or kitchen ,like 60 min make over
After saying all that, hope you get in and finished asap nysk and get hold of ya wonger for the jobLast edited by Puddle; 03-05-2012 at 11:40 AM.

Re: why bother
Cheers Puddle. Very true bout the 60 minute makeover comment - god knows hopw they dont swear, fight or even kill each other - but maybe thats in 60 minute makeover uncut. was there the other day just hanging rads, was very cozy with 2 sparkys, 2 chippys a painter and a very clueless site agent. cheers for your kind words though, fingers crossed can get a decent day tomorrow, well latest 1 pm as it is friday

Re: why bother
Sounds like a lot of fun this price work along side every other trade.
What happens if you tell the customer "call me when other trades are finished and you need me to do my bit and I'll come over, if you say I can get the work done and I turn up and it's not possible then I'll be leaving straight away"? or is that only in an ideal world and I'm being naive?
I know not taking on other work because you are booked in at said job must be very frustrating.
