    Unhappy Noisy pump

    Grundfos Bronze 15-50. Noisy pump on secondary return. 15 mm into and out of the pump. should this pump run constantly? Should the pipework be increased? What would cause it to be noisy?

    15mm is fine. Try turning the speed down. I like to time secondary pumps so they don't run overnight. It may be the bearings on the way out.

    sometimes the pump gets clogged up with sludge disconnect the electric take it out an clean it, if it's still noisy could possibly be the bearings on the way out :-)
