Stainless steel cylinders, are they any good????
Was considering buying a vented 1050 x 450 indirect cylinder from screwfix, does anyway know of/
or fitted any of these cylinders? What is general feedback on stainless. I have fitted a few unvented heatrae sadia megaflos with no problems......

To me a cylinders a cylinder, not fitted any vented SS but plenty unvented. Whats the warranty like on the SS vented?

only issue ive ever found with a ss, is that on the albion ss uv cylinder is that the immersions are specials(2" thread)

Just had that with the center store. They use heatrae sadia.

Fitted my first today well actually 2, got them from plumbfix the trade side of screwfix and they were cheaper than PTS could do by £35 +vat each . RM Aquasel 1050x450 ind with 10 year warranty tested to 3bar grade 1 cylinder. Even Screwfix price is cheaper than PTS. Not a fan of the sheds but the merchants need to wake up.
They are very well built a lot stronger than a copper one but heavier I think. No fear of twisting the immersion boss in a few years time trying to remove the immersion!>>>>>>>>>I'M ASKIN, YOU DANCIN<<<<<<<<

they seem ok get all my copper cylinders from plumbfix about to try stainless now the BIG question 10-15 years time what are they worth scrap???

The immersions on unvented cylinders are different thread sizes for a reason, so you cant fit a normal immersion without the safety stat.

that plumbnation website seems like a good place for prices, just got 2 oversink water heaters from there ordered late monday they arrived today and were much cheaper than plumbfix and my merchants.
Plumber down under, not working as a plumber
