so how many call outs did we all get on xmas and boxing day?

i had 1 call on xmas day at about 2.30pm and 3 calls on boxing day 2 were bursts and 2 were boiler breakdowns, sadly i couldnt attend any of them as i was a wee bit to drunk hehe.

2,frozen condensate on a performa he,froze despite having 80mm of lagging and i run it in 32mm,come in 8 o,clock xmas eve,and a compression fitting pull apart yesterday due to a frozen cold main

Had many but the one that stands out was 6.30 yesterday morning middle aged couple in bed (happy time) water starts coming through the ceiling - compression joint on tank connector had push off. I was their within the hour but it did make a mess

compression fittings will do this in this extreme weather particularly if cones have slipped or not tight enough did their cold main freeze as well quality?

Had one yesterday which I went and repaired today. Thought they were going to kiss me when it fired up. They'd had another engineer there the week before who hadn't been able to fix it. It was the circulating pump, what a moron.

Also though, I was staying at the mother in laws. Popped home yesterday around 6 to pick up something for my little girl, and the house was stone cold. Checked boiler, locked out.

So donned head torch and fixed my own boiler. It's oil fired, and the paper filter was completely blocked with ice. Mental. It was littlerly a block of ice.

Trusty pink hair dryer and a quick bleed. Sorted. Got home from the mother in laws today half expecting the house to be cold again (little self faith) but she's all toasty and warm. Just wish I could charge myself.

just had another one blaming the ch system some doughnut previous tenant had run 2.5mm cable externally to kitchen,the insulation broke down and knocked the rcd off but of course they call the gas man to fix it????????????
