Default Regional hourly rates

Hi all,
Gripe of the day. Whilst I appreciate we are all out there to make a living . What is the general thought on a baseline standard rate for work. I have come across examples of guys working for as little as £60 per day on bathroom installation and unfortunately for the customers thier work reflects that. Is there a risk of having the skill of plumbing de valued ?.
Over to you

Certainly but you need these guys to set a low benchmark so that one can identify a difference between yourself and such a low benchmark... if customers know £60 a day gets you shoddy workmanship then they'll know 120 should get them much more. In the right place at the right time even more maybe.

I think all aim for the higher day rates but obviously only the good ones will get paid it.

Keep doing a good job mate

some companys pay £60 per day , some self employed people still charge £60 per day and handymen (odd jobs) or weekenders charge £60 per day. but you pay for what you get if your only paying £60 labour then some ones making a lot on parts or there not paying insurance so if the job go's wrong then there in the SH*T. I have done repairs from some of these type jobe and it costs more to do the repairs and house insurance companys do not allways pay for the repairs

some one will work for £60 per day you can not get away from that, but do they know what they are doing
