Default Recommend a Plumber? - Dunblane

Anyone recommend a good plumber in the Dunblane area (Scotland). There are so many in the yellow pages I don't know where to start. I need a free estimate for possible immersion tank removal & new boiler (maybe pipe clipping too).
Thanks

if there are no suggestions for one in your area . you can always call as many as you wish and ask them to come and give you an estimate.you can never have too many estimates.you can also ask for references from their last few jobs. you could also ask the plumber if you could view a couple of his last jobs also. if he a perfectly good plumber he shouldnt decline.as you will be paying a lot of money the least you can expect is peace of mind. if you want a boiler fitted you will be better offf looking for a corgi engineer as the engineer will be able to test the gas and connect from the meter to the boiler.where as a plumber cannot and may have to get an engineer to do so therefore costing you more.

I would avoid the 111aaaplumber type adverts, call a few up and ask for a free estimate.
You could also consider getting a smaller job done first, then if you are happy with everything ask for an estimate on the rest. It may not cost you more to get a non-Corgi Plumber to do the work and a Corgi Plumber in to do just the boiler as their rates may be different but it's the same amount of work.

Hi Have you considered seeking members of The Institute of Plumbing in your area, or contacting the plumbing teacher at your local CFE. They will know local tradesmen.Good Luck
