Default courses

Hi, I've decided a career change is in order but i'm really struggling to make decisions on where to go to train to become a plumber... I've been accepted on to the BTSC course (but doesn't everyone get accepted?) and need to part with nearly £5000 and have been guaranteed to be fully qualified in 10 months... I have major doubts in the BTSC course. I have been looking around and have found another course at ABLE SKILLS in Dartford does anyone know anything about this course or has anyone done this course there??? They aim to have you fully qualified in 10 weeks. I have bills and a mortgage to pay so i'm worried about taking time out of working and studying...

I'm looking for advice from anyone who can help me make a decision!!!

if your worried about taking time out of work don't do it, for a 10 week course you may get c&g 6129 but to gain employment you will need NVQ 2, but this takes site work that you will not have so its catch 22 no nvq2 no job, no job no nvq

Thanks for the reply. I have found a course from OLCI that includes the NVQ2 as well as the 6129. How employable will I be at the end of this course??

even if you do that course you will need to find a job to finish the nvq2 as it has to be done on site work not in the class room
