You are a miserable git AJ!

I wonder why you fequent this forum cause you only seem to moan and be unpleasant.

Maybe you should have a career change - i hear they need good bus drivers at the mo!!!

Or try taxi driver, or traffic warden. You would be able to moan and be mean and still be as popular as an attack of the plague . . .

I am surprised you get any customers at all with the soft tones and diplomatic manner you have demonstrated here on this forum!!!!!

Hey man whats your problem, if people want to become a plumber then thats there choice, theres a shortage of most tradesmen because you have to be able and willing to learn, REALLY AJ you are perfetic, a little bit less of putting people down and maybe you will be liked more.
After all WE ALL START FROM THE BOTTOM

you need to wake up abit i am liked by the tradesman cause i tell the truth.
have you been a sleep for a yr or so ?
shortage of tradesman are you a total dummy or what the building trade is in a recession if you didn't know that.
their has not been a shortage of tradesman for a number of yrs now.
but once all the training cowboys got on to a quick earner now where over run with them.

try speaking to tradesman and get out of the little planet and see what going on in the big world of the building trade before you start going on about what you don't know.

i don't put people down just tell you the facts and you don't like to admit it that your in it for the money which just isn't there.
soley because the cowboys have f**ked the trade for everyone.

so look around speak to people who have been do the trade 20 yrs and you'll get the same answer.
not your trainer whos out for your £4000

aj is right, not enough work out there for all the new lads with a fortnights experience expecting 40k a year. those who know their trade will plod on and pick up 25/30k to make a living.
a lot of the new boys will drop out and go back to their old jobs

I can assure you I am no blockhead and have done research, very few plumbers earn 80k per year there is no job around where the grass is greener on the other side. I have seen plumbers work that have been through the old school that still don't know there arse from their elbows and would fill the void of so called "blockheads" what I have learnt in life is to be humble and will always support any person that is doing anything to try and improve his standing in life. I am sure that most people doing these so called fast track courses realise that it is going to take time to learn all the skills as a plumber.
In causa, I am in the security industry and no I don't earn £4.50 per hour. I was a senior officer in the South African Police and came to the UK to get a better life for my family that is the reason why I am on the so called fast track.
The fact that someone on the forum also implied that it will take more than 5 years to gain expeience is also nonsense life is an expeience where we learn every day.

I dont wanna get into a fullblown arguement but aj you shouldnt class everyone who does theses sort of courses that they are in it for differnent reasons myself is doing it because i want to learn more skills im allready a quallified carpenter but fancyed plumbing when iv left school but i had no chance of geting my foot in the door, I am not a so called cowboy, my work has got to be respectfull for coustomers and myself or i would do it again, just dont think everyone aj is in it for the cash.
