Has anyone seen this site or trained with them?

Its says you can study to be a plumber from home using their home study kit and after you finish you do the C+G 6022 and 6032 and you can just as easily get a job as plumber the same as someone just come out of college, training etc. My query is after you have passed all the modules for the home study part do you get a technical certificate? I am aware that industry standard is the C+G 6129, do you get that after you finish studying all the modules through home study?

nick: no , I dont believe them but I cant up the chance the possibility they may make true on their word, that why I'm here to see if I can verifiy it

ajs heating: have you trained with get plumbing and been on their workshop?

i completed a home study theory for the 6129, and recieved my theory diploma certificate.

i signed with olci to do my c&g 6129 i paid around £550 for my theory
you need to study 13 modules and complete 1 by 1, i was intending to do my workshops after. i already have 5 years experiance but didnt want to pay out an extra 3 or $4000 pound as i didnt didnt think it teached much more than i already knew.i would have only benefited if i wanted to join a company.so i have decided to go my own way advertise for work and work on building my portfolio. i also work part time so i still have money coming in. so any job is a bonus and one step closer to my nvq

there was no modules for exams each time i completed a module i sent it off and the examiner marked it and then returned it, i have only completed the theory test, you are supposed to go and do workshops and asesments for an extra 3 to $4000 pound as mentioned above to recieve your practical qualification.

yeah thats right you can get away with not doing some of the workshops but you have to show a lot of evidence and also a year into my theory work they put the prices up i told them that wasnt the price i signed up for they basically said tough, so i took my certificate and run.but i paid 500 odd pound for the certificate and its basically useless
