    Need to phone up local building control and say you’ve installed a unvented cylinder and you need it signing off

    It’s gravity by the sounds of it so solenoid needs to open when the tap is opened so sensing issue eg where the water is i would say

    Needs to be 750mm deep Ideally 20mm blue poly eg the stuff they use for water mains etc I would put it in a bit of ducting 50mm Y and a back inlet gully would be fine providing you identify flow direction

    I believe building control do sign it off for a fee as they have to come out and inspect it etc Fees around £350 I think

    At the solenoid pins just wiggle the connector off a smidge so you can get probes on etc

    Test voltage first if you got voltage then test resistance of the coil to test if it’s bad

    Yes spec or on the side of the coil this should be listed

    It will be voltage to the coil could be dc or ac depending on circuit
