    Boiler fixed apparently selodoid and electrode were fine it was a blockage in the fuel flow, needed bleeding......though he did state the boiler has seen better days and will need replacing in the next couple of years, slight leak in the heat exchanger

    My current Potterton Statesman flowsure oil boiler has gone bang apparently needs a new solenoid and electrode and apparently a part is obsolete so rendering it buggered???? If so do I go for a new Oil boiler circa £2000+ or change to LPG where the boilers are much cheaper but understand LPG is...

    Flowsure combi oil boiler Hot Hot Water and Hot Hot Rads ouch

    Hi all we've a Flowsure combi oil boiler circa 2003ish. Thermostat set at low (mark at 4 o clock) Radiators are roasting to the touch and water scalding. TRV's are all working. Guessing the thermostat on the boiler could be dodgy??? or could it be something else. Definitely burning plenty of oil...
