I run a small plumbing and heating company. I am looking for a commercial gas engineer to help out with a few call outs, servicing, safety checks etc. Most work around London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex area.
Ideally looking for someone self employed or another small business who could work...
Hi,
Send me a message with a bit more detail about your experience etc. We are based in that area and may be looking to take on another apprentice/mate.
As above really. Try and get some hands on experience for more than just a day or two. Its a big career change and it will be a significant drop in money too for the first couple of years at least so you need to make sure you are going to enjoy it.
I hate those ESI valves. I have fitted a couple of those cylinders which come with them and both have had a valve which has leaked from the spindle in about 2 years. Not impressed.
The advice is to go to work if you cannot work from home as long as social distancing can be maintained. I don't see a problem with still working as long as safety measures are put into place. People are still going out to the supermarket, pharmacy, getting petrol etc. Even items being delivered...
Based in South London. Yeah I've heard of Esbe valves before. Any suggestions for the auto bypass? Or I could potentially use a 3 port and use one side for zoning and the other for the bypass

I’m sure the old centre brand rads had small brackets which were quite high up the rad. But this was about 10 years ago and I think they have changed since then.
The universal brackets don’t solve the problem. As they are just 4 individual brackets so they still sit as low down as normal ones. The mounting points on the back of the radiators are what need to be higher up.
I seem to remember centre rads being higher up, but that was years ago and they...
I need to fit a couple of radiators in a property. The only issue being the skirting is about 400mm high and don't want the radiators looking ridiculously high. They don't want the skirting cut to accept the brackets.
So the question is, what brand of standard radiators have brackets highest up...
