I have a house with 14kw heat loss using the whole house method, ( Navien oil system boiler ) I aimed to use heat engineer software on acceptance of the quote but have been struck down with covid, the unvented cylinder is 300ltr due too a family from Ukraine living there ( 8 people living...
I'm going back later today and will check. Apparently it was making a lot more noise than usuall before it went to F1. I,m going to check fan operation, just wondered if there was any common issues with the 30cxi that may cause the issue.
Hi all,
I attended a gloworm 30cxi running on lpg today. Changed the return pipe on the heat exchanger as the rubber connector had gone hard and was leaking all over the place. Boiler fired up ran for 20 secs on dhw then fan increased speed and it went out. Went through the ignition sequence a...
Need to pick a couple of brains whilst exposing my chasm of limited understanding.
Before I qualified, about 10 years ago we had a Dunsley neutraliser fitted, combining a Firebird oil boiler and a Hunter multifuel. Over time we've never really been happy with the set up and have a shower pump...
I'm GSR as well, I'm on the system and registered with them for G3 and various other scope.

Thanks for the clarification, oftec have told me its £24 to add to my scope with them.
Hi Just wanted to clear up an issue, I'm G3 qualified and register my installs through gas safe, I have been told that this is now only applicable if the property has gas. I'm oftec registered as well and can add this to my scope but it seems a bit of an nonsense. Can anyone clarify. ?
I had a slight worry about the different demands of the existing microbore pipework and the ufh. cct,s sounded like a revalation, subsequent research has proved everyday is definatley a school day, if I can install without and it has little or no impact on the set up then great. although I can...
Ok back to the drawing board. I'm getting a bit confused. Please correct me if im wrong. Leave the rad circuit and flow and return from the boiler as a standard install, but add cct,s for the ufh. If so where would they be best connected.
When I first asked the question a while ago on a different thread about mixing microbore on the radiator circuit and UFH you had actually suggested it. I had a concern that the different demands could be counter productive. If I can climb back into my comfort zone and go for a straight install...
Just to clarify, the boiler primaries
Hi, Just to clarify the primaries are 22mm and the loop was going to be in 22mm the boiler max output is 35kw although I would be ranging it down. If I up the tees to 28mm from the boiler to the loop would this be ok, also would the tees for the secondary...
Thank you, Shaun much appreciated.

Apologies, many thanks to both of you. I appreciate the advice and sharing on this forum more than any other.
Hi, 35mm seems huge, do you mean the tees themselves and then scaled down, or the whole loop, It's my 1st cct system, hence so many questions and so little knowledge.
The circuit from the boiler to the secondary circuit it going to be as small as I can get away with in terms of space, I was hoping to use 22mm to tie into the existing 22mm flow and returns from the boiler to the radiator circuit and 22mm on the manifold, the system is relatively small although...
