    Vaillant 630 bypass question

I contacted Vaillant support who advised me that the boiler does not require an external bypass as the built in one will (should) handle the excess heat/ flow when any external valves are closed. I wont pretend to be an expert when it comes to setting bypass's but I'll certainly be paying close...

    Vaillant 630 bypass question

Rads still cold on ground floor in 3 storey house.

You say hot water is reaching the ground floor rads but the rads are at best only warm? This to me sounds like a restriction in the return pipework probably in the manifold. I would be looking to locate the manifold supplying the cool rads. Turn off all rads except the ground floor ones and note...

Power flushes / rads not heating up - HELP PLEASE!

Can you get to the small tank in the loft and photo the water that's inside it? Dirty water inside the tank can help diagnose problems. Also with the heating on, run your hand over the radiators, They should be warm / hot all over. Any cold spots will indicate a build up of sludge within the system.

    Analyser test point access problem

Evening all, How do you deal with unaccessable flue test points. Normally I'll just test from outside but I looked at a boiler with a plume kit fitted. The boiler was in a kitchen cupboard with a side exit flue which meant that i couldn't get the probe in the test point. I've looked on Kanes web...

    No Control Over Central Heating

It its a Y plan system even with the programmer off there's still power going to the wiring center. Sounds to me like the micro switch in the 3 port valve could be stuck in the closed position. A knowledge of electrics and a mulimeter is the best bet
