Never heard of Salus before seeing this thread. Pity you didn't mention this before.
I assumed that stone1048was just another householder like me and I tried using some common sense, something I have found lacking in many so called pros, and was suggesting a solution that caused the minimum...
Why not just replace the very old Salus EP100 with the current EP110, which is supposed to have memory back up?https://salus-controls.com/files/EP110-Manual-V005.pdf
Just fitted new cartridge to a 1901 basin tap. Instead of being a quick easy job it took quite some time due to corrosion of the shroud. There was also some corrosion of the handle. The taps are nearly six years old. It was the hot water tap and there is a water softener fitted. I also have...
I'd never heard of these humidity fans till seeing this thread. They seem to be a poor expensive solution looking for a problem.
Cost £300!
Extraction a mere 9l/s compared to a cooker hood's 111l/s or a 6" kitchen fan's 200+l/s (cost<£100).

One house badly flooded when owner away and keyholder had problems finding cock in house.
Perhaps a notice just inside front door as to where to find cock would be helpful.

It's statements like this that show why you shouldn't seek legal advice from plumbers! A lot of people call themselves companies when they are sole traders. If you've not set up a company you are either a sole trader or a partner and you could be fully liable.
Worse case scenario was joint...
