I'd say that you were well low on the pricing but it depends on what YOU need out of the job? We all have different expenses and overheads so know what we need to turnover a day to ensure a profit.
My day rate is £250-£300 or £65 an hour and that is up in the north east in Skegvegas. Inside M25...
How did you get on @Jay Jay? I'm in Skeg Vegas and could pass you some stuff Lincoln way as and when. Where abouts are you? Could always use a chuck for installs too.

No such thing as buying cheap if it's used day in day out.
If you are PAYE though you should supply your basic hand tools. They should supply everything else needed.
If you are SE to them then look at the tools as an investment. Get the highest Amperage you can afford. Don't drop below 4ah...

Can't recommend these enough. I've had a set for 12 months roughly and they are brilliant. Have the 15mm and 22mm. They also do a ratchet cutter for tight spaces.
Talking of Nerrad, get a Nerrad-versa-funnel it is so bloody useful! I thought it was a gimmick but it saves PCBs, carpets, acts as...

I've used it no end of times and the bugger won't die! Have put 1 new blade on the circular one...
Anyone got an old set of pocket trousers? The flappy ones at the front.
Cut them off and 2 tec screws and a couple of penny washers and you have organisers anywhere. You have loops, thin pockets and wide pockets! Top tip # 2
