I've put a brand new gas valve yesterday and I'm getting the same fault. I'm thinking the gas plug is not making the contact with the pins to transfer the 230v to the gas valve.
Feel like my clutching at straws, but can't get my head around this one!
Hi Shaun
Are you saying I should've tested the gas valve but turning the boiler gas isolation off then tried the firing sequence. From 25mb is should've dropped to 1 or 2mb?
Handy tip for next time.
I did remove the 3/4" nut above the gas valve and I know the gas was not getting through the...
Hiya fellow gas engineer.
Need some help on this boiler fault.
Went out to this E133 Error on a Potterton Titanium 24 (GC: 47-393-39)
I checked the inlet standing pressure which was at 25mb. Boiler attempts to fire and the pressure drops by 1mb but the gas valve doesn't open. Checked the black...
Forgot to update this, so here I am.
Hopefuly it helps someone out there.
The main pcb was not the issue🤦🏽♂️
It was the smaller display board which deals with the software side of things.
Also very important to set the correct code of the boiler to the board.
Or better stay way from this...
It's ridiculous, I've learnt my lesson that's for sure. I'll take the chance of not turning the power off now after warning the customer.
I've just found out the price of the pcb £282, also not in stock so I have to wait!
I was wishing I never did the service!
I still can't understand how a boiler can work fine with a SE code yet by trying to remove it it develops another different fault.
Or it starts to think it is a combi boiler🤷🏽♂️
Glow worm such pile of 💩
Yes I did, but when I turned it back on the boiler was flashing the same SE code.
The customer did confirm the SE code has been flashing for well over a year.
Just been to a nightmare of a job!
Had to carry out a service on the 2009 British Gas 330 + (GC: 41-019-11)
It's a Glow Worm boiler.
The boiler was flashing SE even before I arrived, which I assumed the service reminder needed resetting.
After completing the service I contact Glow Worm to...
Hi Fellow Engineers
I've attached a wiring diagram I've just completed, I wanted to make sure I've got it correct.
Looking to install 2 Nest thermostats to a Worcester combi boiler.
1 Zone is radiators and the other is UFH, with pump on manifold
Would be grateful to receive feedback.
Thanks
