Just come home early from my holidays and discovered the plumber I have employed must have caused water damage.
Looks like he has drilled through his new pipework!
Do you think I should now sue him?
;)

Yep get a mop out ;D

Thats why any reputable tradesmen will have public liability insurance, accidents can happen and you and your family need to be protected, recently heard of a 30k claim for a faulty shower install upstairs behind multi panel that would destroy any sole trader. Cheers kop

Don't sue the plumber - everyone on here knows that plumbers have limited funds.
But his insurance company has almost unlimited funds.
I'd go his insurance company - and take a holiday with the excess funds you collect off them for the repair works and then send the plumber a postcard each day you were on holidays.

could of been worse

:D

cut the wrong side of the stop tap

Not many jobbing plumbers driving around in a van like that the number plate must be a good few quid more to it than just a video of a every day plumber all the best kit money can buy, obviously sponsored but hey ho if it helps the younger generation me i havent got time to breath let alone mess around making youtube clips another 7 day week and chasing my arse a big project secured but got to take it while its there off on holiday next week for 7 days to recharge the batteries for the big push when i get back happy days . cheers all kop

What is wrong with you lot. Just make a house insurance claim and move on. Accidents happen and I’d be prepared to bet that the plumber works harder than most for his money
Why claim on our insurance and increase future insurance cost. He who is responsible needs to correct everything damaged

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...
