Can anyone help identify this valve. LH 28mm is fed from a Ideal Mexico (being removed). HW is (was) gravity on separate 28mm so this is just heating only. I realise there will have been a handle at some point.

Looks like it could of been an old servowarm selecter valve

Would say no

Pipes dissapear under a concrete then laminate floor so having difficult to identify what all 4 do. Flow from Mexico, then maybe upstairs/downstairs heating but can't work out other?!

I would say fill and safety vent combined maybe

Customer had found original documents from 1963. LH is flow from boiler. Up is Upstairs heating, down is downstairs heating and RH 28 is tee back into return, so a bypass. Pretty clever stuff

Was about to reply that the only thing I could find remotely close was an old Sloan valve

Our kitchen mixer tap has started dripping. Like so much of the plumbing in our almost new build bungalow, it is lacking! The plumber didn't install any isolating cocks in the H&C feed to the tap so how can I identify which of the valves is passing? Shut the whole H&C water system down?

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...
