Hi

What underfloor heating systems do people recommend? I'm thinking of trying out the Buteline system for the job I'm doing at the moment.

Thanks

Maincor is my preferred choice so easy to work with and good back up sevice. Grahams plumbers merchants can supply it or available online cheers kop

Definitely our forum sponsor Uheat!!! Specialised in ufh.

OR myson ufh

I've used Uponor a couple of times but on fairly small jobs where I've not needed to get the likes of Uheat involved. Anything big though and you are better off giving the plans to someone like Uheat to sort out the detail.

I've been looking on eBay for pex-al-pex pipe. You can get some really good deals.

Part of me thinks I should stick to named brands. Any thoughts?

Stick to a good name if later on down the line you want to be able to get some spares

A significant amount of stuff on eBay is counterfeit and/or rubbish quality. The only way to know what you are getting is to buy high-quality brands from approved stockists.

How do you tell a high-quality brand? A good start is to check that they have a technical department that you can call/email and have a discussion in English with.

And maybe not fitting the manifold

I would get the pipe and manifold all from the same company/ manufacturer

The pipe is the most important part dont skimp you will live to regret it cheers kop

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
