Been to the above boiler. With a ecoflam max 1 burner . Lockouts out on ignition. Pump pressure is fine and atomising well. (Can't see it sparking at all) going to change the electrodes and leads as due for some new soon.

Do you guys think it is the control box or ignition transformer. My brain is dead with too much work, should be turning down these little breakdowns as got so many projects going but can't help myself.

You could have tested the transformer by moving the transformers live wire inside the control box wiring to join the motor live to see if ignition works.
If it does then work, it could be the control box or the photocell.
(No point in my opinion in not having a few standard spare parts with you, especially if travelling fair bit to job. Solenoids, control boxes, transformers and a few different oil pumps essential for quick fix first visit.)

Photocells would be good to have in stock too .. As mention above you can bridge inside the control box ... might be a tiny hair cut at the electrodes / they are very sensitive and breaking quick. Did you check the distance between the those electrodes ?

Went back to this one. Reset the electrodes and away she went. Now just got to see if it stays running and the intermittent lockout has been cured.

Check the transformer on these burners look for bulging, danfoss ebi transformers can give this problem. Works ok when cold then breaks down when hot.

Resetting the electrodes sorted this one. But had to go back and change the thermostat as it broke a couple of days later. Broke on the overheat stat.
