Hi all,

I am trying to get me gas ticket sorted and have come across a firm called Gas Safe Corporation who are basically a firm that claim they can sort your classroom training as well as arrange your on the job portfolio of evidence - has anyone heard of them or know of them?

Alternatively does anyone know of any firms that also help with building a portfolio?

Just had a look at their site. They've also got a site called acskillsltd.co.uk. They do 3 weeks gas training (that's all) then 3 weeks work placement. 3 weeks work placement? There is not a hope in hell that you will be a gas engineer after that. If you're a new entrant and want to qualify for boilers, you need to provide around 140 days training and placement. 70 days if you're a qualified plumber. They claim you will be a fully qualified gas engineer. Save your money.

I agree, wasn't sure of this one so have now booked into a decent college and have a couple of gas guys that I am working along side. gonna be a long slog but worth it. thanks again.

That firm is based not far from me.

They are undercutting everyone in the area....they are doing LGSC's for £20?.

To the OP, if you are local, give us a shout, I may be able to help you out with some on site stuff.
