Portfolio of evidence
Hi all hope you are all good.
I am looking for a bit of help, bit of advice and bit of guidance really. I have been lucky enough to secure work with a gas engineer who is happy to help me build my portfolio before I do my ACS etc etc. The problem is that I have no idea how to set out my portfolio, what information it should contain, does each job I do have to have a coversheet if so does anyone have a blank example they could email me?
I know there is a lot of questions but I really want to get this spot on from the beginning. Cheers for reading
Neal

Re: Portfolio of evidence
Hi Andy, not on a course for my ACS yet as have been told that I need my portfolio and hours first, done a bit of reading though which will hopefully give me a bit of a head start.

Re: Portfolio of evidence
you need to get yourself on an accredited course who will then supply a portfolio for you to work through, at least thats what im doing so someone correct me if im wrong, have you done your plumbing quals??
for my portfolio i have to do 23 on site jobs( multitude of jobs, service, breakdowns, installs) on a number of different appliances, and then you have to do 23 jobs in the college/training centre.
as well as that your are taught what you should, or in some of the lads on my course's cases shouldunt do.
hope this helps.Last edited by andyg0507; 06-01-2011 at 02:39 PM.

Re: Portfolio of evidence
If youre doing level 3 tech cert and NVQ then some acs centres dont ask you to do the gas course, just the portfoilio and then the initial ACS assesment 5-6 days., then you should/might pass.
