Re: is anyone on here OFTEC registered ?
do OFTEC work in the same way as gas i.e a core course and then modules for different appliances? i phoned them today to ask but they were very vague and didn't seem to understand what i was asking them
the reason i ask is because work want me to get OFTEC registered and are sending me off to do QFT 101, 105e and 600a in January but 105e only covers me up to 100kw and we have 300kw Hovals, when i asked OFTEC if they have any commercial certificates the guy said no but they are coming in the new year.
when i asked how i would be able to work on our Hovals he didn't seem to know what he was on about, which is a bit worrying
so i'm after a bit of clarification on what i need to be qualified in.Last edited by fatherof2; 13-12-2010 at 09:25 PM.

Re: is anyone on here OFTEC registered ?
I too have not found OFTEC that helpful when asking specifics. When I was new I asked about how to dispose of spilt oil and they had no idea. I do wonder why I paid my fees sometimes.
Maybe your questions would have better answers if you phoned an OFTEC training centre?
