Replacing 15 x stopcocks @ 22mm thought I'd try cutters as usually I pull 'em and space was tight.
These Ox brand 22mm cutters just deform the olive and score the pipe.
The jaws don't close properly as witnessed by the burr where the handles meet (pictured) preventing cutting of the olive.

Hi,
Hope you can help with a central heating issue. I tried turning the central heating on today but without success. The orange light that usually comes on when the heating is triggered isn't illuminating - I've tried the once, twice and fully on modes and it doesn't come on in any of these...
Hi to all member
I want to post this product I bought some weeks ago in a website in GB, it is called Acqua Tempus
apparently it is very simple but it is not: it is a shower timer with shut off; it is programmable and has a lithium battery that gets charged with the passage of water, son I do...

Hi Guys,
I'm looking to purchase a 40mm PVC/Plastic pipe cutter, i have a ceapy chinese ratchet type one but the ratchet system is broke, plus a 40mm pipe barely fits into it.
I will be doing a lot of floplast or polypipe solvent 40mm cuts (not sure which atm, whoever is cheapest and does...
Does anyone out there have experience of a water CONDITIONER - I don't want a water softener installed and I wondered if these really work or just a gimmick?
I would appreciate any information/reviews from either owners or plumbers please.
Hi All
Looking to purchase a press fit tool and considering many brands. I don’t do a lot of pipe work, so don’t need a heavy duty one. Hot works are becoming a thing of the past.
Any recommendations?
I bought these (not the ones in the image, what they sent) Ratchet Tool for 0.5mm²-10mm² Ferrules - https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/DVDCER510.html, however I had to return them as the crimps kept getting stuck, nearly broke the wire getting it out. I was considering these Ferrule Kit -...
I'm thinking of getting a Stud Finder, so that when I drill or nail something into a wall at home, I don't puncture any pipes, wires etc.
I heard that cheap ones aren't good, not sure if this is true.
Any recommendations would be very welcome 😉
Hi everyday peeps,
I need to correct a mistake in the heating system in my dad's flat which has two radiators connected with flow in at bottom and return from the same end at the top. Nothing wrong with TBSE in the right setting, but best not to have the flow and reversed messed up!
Easiest...
My Irwin pipe bender has lost the retaining nut for the central bolt and the 12mm we have on site aren't the right pitch.
Does anyone know what type of 12mm nut to get?
Irwin don't, I've asked.
No replaceable parts on their benders.
I am thinking of buying Rothenberger-Force-Pump to clear a blocked toilet ( when needed) but as its a bit on the pricey side I wondered if someone has any information on them before I buy
Thanks
Had to change a couple of monoblock taps a while ago and struggled to do the job untill I bought a set of cheap box spanners..
Although the spanners worked, I would prefer to use sockets where possible. I have now found some 80mm deep reach sockets on line and I am wondering if they would be...
