I don't get involved in bathrooms really so pretty clueless. Only doing it because it's my mum's and she doesn't mind how long it takes so I can take my time and work it out as I go along. We're changing the bath to a roll top and fitting wall panels. Today I remove the old tiles and some...

Kane international, in Welwyn Garden City, has anyone dealt with them? I seem to get in a pickle every year- last year analyser came back with dodgy batteries. This year I can't log in to my online account! It's so frustrating. Also when I posted it off last year I made sure I backed in a cosy...

Hello, I have just signed up for ERR training. They say I will get a lvl2 city and guilds and then nvq3. It's part theory by studying at home and part practical. It would take about 2 years to complete as part-time. My question is: are they genuine? Will I get the proper qualifications and...

Evening all, have any of you had this issue? I recently installed a DAB Esytank (480 ltr accumulator) and Esybox pump and the Esytank has overflowed a few times now. I'll probably change the DAB ballvalve for a brass Pt2 one. Appreciate any advice. Cheers

Hi I am insulating the house with kingspan so have to move the radiators further out from the wall. The heat dump radiator has been connected with flow and return at the bottom. This seems a bit counter intuative. Should it have flow to bottom and return to top or should I replumb it as...

Hello - I would appreciate your help on the question of whether I need a 2nd gas meter. At present I have a U6 meter serving a WB combi 28kw, a gas hob 8kw (downstairs) and a 49 yr old Glow-worm boiler (14kw) (upstairs). The Glow-worm boiler has finally packed up and has been disconnected as it...

Hi, We have a Rayburn 600k (cooker only) which fails to ignite. Having turned it on, it cut out and went completely dead, no lights on the panel or anything. I checked the fuse In the plug, found it had failed and replaced it. Now it just fails to ignite. In turning the temperature dial, the...

Hi Just wondered if anyone had a good idea to pipe this radiator up using the existing pipe coming through the floor. The customer has had all their floor recently done so nothing can be changed with the pipework. Ideas so far include pipe extension piece or maybe an offset bend inwards both...

As part of a loft extension 16 years ago a couple of 600mm high x 700mm wide radiators were installed. As a result of poor flow rates in the loft these radiators no longer warm up and I'm in the process of flushing through the pipes, which has so far removed a lot of sludge. The radiators...

I need to fit a couple of radiators in a property. The only issue being the skirting is about 400mm high and don't want the radiators looking ridiculously high. They don't want the skirting cut to accept the brackets. So the question is, what brand of standard radiators have brackets highest up...

Hi guys, I'm sure this isn't unsual to you, but as 90% of the radiators in my home have 15mm valve fittings on both sides (flow and return) it is a little confusing for me. Around 15 years ago a couple of radiators were installed in a loft extension and I'm currently trying to unblock the pipes...
