Noticed today that the ground looked damp around the outside of our Worcester Bosch Heatslave 25/32 External Boiler. Took the cover off and warm water is pooling in the base of the unit. Can't see an obvious leak and all the components are dry. I'm guessing it's the thermal store leaking. Is...

Evening All, I have a customer who wants a modern oil boiler fitting to replace his ancient one. The big problem is he's divided his house into two with a holiday cottage next door. I'm not sure but surely that's against Building Regs and he needs two boilers?. Can anyone advise me? Thanks, Jock

I have a Grant Vortex Blue 26kw external oil boiler, installed less than 12 months ago. It's had intermittent non-starting problems resulting in multiple warranty visits, part replacements and eventually burner replacement. The replaced burner I discovered was a 'yellow flame' one, apparently...

My oil boiler is 2009 vintage. Just been serviced. Had a new tank fitted by approved fitter. I notice that the bottom of the tank is roughly on the level of the boiler feed pipe. Then I notice in the Grant instal manual for a single pipe feed the tank should be 300mm min above the boiler feed...

My firebird oil boiler hw supply is luke warm, but does heat up slightly when run if the ch is on at the same time. Is this a faulty diverter valve? If so could I replace this myself as I've heard they're expensive to fix. Tia

Hi, I'm looking to change our boiler as part of some general house renovations. Could anyone recommend one that's going to be ultra reliable? I'm seeing lots of firebird problems on these forums, not so many Worcester Bosch issues. Are they worth the extra outlay? Thanks Alan

Hi, I have a three-zone 2016 house with gas heating. When the downstairs heating switches off, it bangs extremely loudly. I have tried adding clips and it only helps to a point, I would have to take down plasterboard to get at the noisest part. The valve appears to be the correct direction. I...
