Re: hot water cutting out! performa 28
Ive stripped down the DHW heat exchanger today,and as you predicted,it was blocked almost solid with what looked like brown/grey grit.After about an hour of tapping it with a screwdriver and rinsing and shaking it,it ran clear.i filled the system back up and i can now run hot water to fill up a whole bath,the boiler is also making less noise!!!
I would just like to thank a few people on here that have gave me some fantastic advice and helped me get to know my boiler as well as i do!!I was only 12 hours away from an engineer coming out,which i can now cancel,its saved me a packed & the wife might get of my case now too.....so Chartergas,gascob & spacethegas i thank you very much.... as my system has been emptied and refilled a few times in the last few weeks do i need to ad some more fernox or something?whats best to add to protect my system? |

i would definatly add a bottle of inhibitor if you have drained the system off a few times...|
