I'd isolate all external controls cloud! The boiler hex is double tubed, the pump doesn't come on for hot water so there's no way the heating can IMHO

Is it the integral one? If so the switch on them gets doddgy! no click to let you know you're in the right position

Can you not put the control to hot water only on these?

Disconnect the mother! and see if the complaint's the same? if not then get a new timer .... ! If it is then that'll be interesting to sort out imho They're double expensive but I'm sure Euroboilers do a cheaper version!

Try turning the heating flow or return iso off under the boiler and see what the reaction is? If the boiler has a pump overrun then there's a chance that there'll be some residue heat pushed into the rads, otherwise they're some obscure demand for heat being generated somewhere!!! IMO

I'd have to take a look at the mi's to see if there's a pump overrun. One would cause symptoms you describe to a degree but would not cause the heating to "come on", it'd be on always you'd think?

Not ruling it out cloud but it's unusual for a demand for heat to be 'created' from a circuit board IMHO .. not ruling it out, just very strange!
