Default never seen this fault, any ideas?

Can't remember the correct name for them but the cyliners that have like a half cylinder on top that acts as a f+e tank, faucet mabee?

Anyway, customer said they were getting hot water out of all the cold taps in the house bar the kitchen one that is mains fed.

I checked the cyliner stat was set correctly and the 3port was switching on/off ok.

Does anyone have any other ideas what could be causinfg this? thanks

Mixer or cylinder is getting over heated !and pumps over and heats up the cold water in the up part of the cylinder

Cold supplies to bathrooms should not be fed from a combination tank as they will heat up and it sounds like this is what has been done.
Just swap it to mains cold through out the house.

Easy done at the tank. A fivers worth of fittings and should take no longer than 20 minutes.

    Sounds as if it is
    One of these type

    cylinder_fortic_range.jpg

Cold supplies should never be taken from one of these as the heat rises straight into the cistern.

Not much to stop the heat transfer in there!
