Recently fitted towel warmer to a bathroom i refurbed now the heating system has always worked fine (so the customer says) all i did to fit the rad is turn all the valves off on all rads, then removed the existing bathroom one, then opened valves to the bathroom one to drain the water in the pipes i needed to alter. I then altered pipe work to fit new warmer,after turning all valves back on and bleeding the system only 3 out of 6 rads are getting hot.

It is hard to explain how the pipes are running to the rads but i was thinking there could be a blockage if so can this be removed with the aid of sludge remover?

Also to flush a system is it a case of connecting hose pipe to drain off valve and open filling loop to force new water through?

check the thermostatic valves if they dont get used they stick so turning them off may have left them stuck closed. if it is a blockage then i would recomend a power flush this would be the only way to do the job right.

you can get a plumber with the equipment or buy the powerflush and its around £500

Would it possibly help if i was to put in sludge remover and just flush through by openning drain offs and filling loop to flush new water through?

you will need to flush each rad in turn, turn all reds off except 1 flush that out for 5 to 10 mins then close it and move to the next if you are going to use sludge remover then put in in 3 or 4 days before you flush the rads out this is so it gets round the system and has time to work, if you have the spare time then this is ok but if you dont have the time its better to get the power flush done

hi bud, you are best to get a specialist power flush expert in, its worth the money in the long run, expect to pay £300 to £500 depending on system size, they will also highlight any existing or potential problems to you, dont be shy and ask for phone numbers of 3 recent powerflush customers for assurance, Good Luck......
