Ravenheat Ls100 white star problem.

Hi all

Having a difficult time identifing a fault on a ravenheat (thats two in a month what have done wrong). Boiler will not light goes striaght to lock out. fan runs, pump runs but not start spark process. Ive got 230v at fan. Just after a bit of advice as dont want to put parts on a boiler which might not be needed.

Check your aps for closure

If you got that check your getting voltage to your gas valve. If your gas valve is getting voltage must be a failed spark generator

Sometimes this can be linked to an overtemp situation too.

I got voltage to gas valve. When i gentle blow down air pressure tube on ch mode the boiler will light and stay on. I've checked case seals with tapered match. I hate these boilers they just thrown together. Could it be the ignition control board. i spoke to ravenheat they reckon it be the thermisters.

Not familiar with this boiler, but from what you say, check flue venturi if clear then aps faulty.

Ravenheats are unfortunately an absolute bag of poo. British engineering at it's worst tbh. Could be the thermister as I know on the CSI the boiler will do everything apart from open the gas valve and spark.
